Hello deanjl This appears to be a bug in the current version. Interestingly I noted that if you bake the layer immediately after projecting while still in record mode, the polypaint bakes correctly, but if you exit record mode or fiddle with the layer intensity, then when you attempt to bake it it bakes as the faint color.
